Dr. Buhler was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from Westminster College with a degree in Biology. He moved to Richmond for dental school where he graduated from MCV/VCU School of Dentistry. Dr. Buhler is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Virginia Dental Association. He had the opportunity to participate in the Jamaica Project, a volunteer dental mission trip, in his final year of dental school.
Dr. Buhler believes good oral health is essential physically and emotionally. Good home oral hygiene and regular dental office visits are habits that are critical for anyone to obtain and maintain healthy teeth and gums. Whether your teeth are perfectly white and straight or have color and character, healthy gums and teeth improve everyones smile and attitude. Dr. Buhler spends time to educate his patients on the process of gum and tooth disease so the methods of prevention and restoration make sense and motivate improving hygiene habits, diet, and overall health.
During dental school he met his wife in gross anatomy class prior to her attending medical school. He and Catherine were married while they both were in school the following year. In November 2006 they added a little boy to their family and cherish every minute with him. Since adding little Jackson to the family Dr. Buhler loves spending time watching him grow and discover all the new things a young baby experiences. Prior to fatherhood he spent his free time playing golf. He also enjoys playing tennis, skiing, scuba diving, and traveling with his wife.
