W. Scott Andersen, D.D.S., graduated from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. His undergraduate studies were completed at Weber State University in 1984 in his home state of Utah.

Dr. Andersen joined the practice in 1989 at the Huguenot Road location. He takes several continuing education courses each year to stay current with his sub-specialty in dental surgery. Dr. Andersen maintains current dental licenses both here in Virginia and in Utah.

His love for the outdoors leads him to many wilderness adventures across the country. They often involve rock climbing/mountaineering. He also competes in road cycling races across the country.
