Born in Washington, North Carolina, T. Nelson Adams received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of Richmond, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha and the honorary chemistry fraternity. He received his dental degree from The Medical College of Virginia. After one year with the dental unit in Bon Air Diagnostic Center with the State of Virginia, he opened a private dental practice in Powhatan County at Flat Rock.
Dr. Adams continues his dental education through several local study clubs and the American Dental Association. He has completed Continuum V at the Pankey Institute (a postgraduate institute), and achieved a fellowship award from the Academy of General Dentistry for continuing education. A mastership award is on the near horizon with only a few hours left to complete this achievement.
Dr. Adams enjoys outdoor activities - most specifically fishing and quail hunting.
